• There were 84 total victims who died due to domestic violence. 47 of these victims were men, and 37 of them were women.
• 76% of these deaths were due to gun violence.
• Of the 69 perpetrators who committed these homicides, 50 of them were men.
• 75 of these 84 victims were in Maricopa County.
• Four pets died in these domestic violence incidents.
• March, May, and June saw the highest number of victims.

• Seek a Personal Protection Order (PPO). Arizona offers two types of restraining orders: emergency protection orders and permanent orders of protection.
• An Emergency Order of Protection is designed to protect those who are in immediate danger. These last until the end of the business day on the day they’re issued.
• A Permanent Protection Order offers a longer-term solution. They may last up to one year or longer. You’ll have to go to court for a hearing in order to obtain this type of order.
• There are no fees for filing or serving a restraining order.
